With millions of passengers and multiple touchpoints, Transport for Greater Manchester has recognised that sponsorship has the potential to deliver significant revenues and/or overhead savings. PHAR was brought in to identify what the scale of the opportunity might be, and the types of packages that could be created to enable that potential to be realised. From a comprehensive assessment of TfGM’s estate, a review of marketplace precedents from around the world, and our own knowledge and experience of commercialising opportunities, we have provided TfGM not only with an evidence-based indication of the commercial potential, but the initial framework for how a partnership programme may most effectively be structured.
